The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it really is alarmed with regards to the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance point made for intervention activities a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SRD SASSA will mobilise additional resources to help the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
